Mondae ("we," "us") is a text-message-based business assistant operated by Michael Chiovitti (sole proprietor), Thomaston, Connecticut, USA. This policy describes how we handle information for businesses that use Mondae and for their customers.
From businesses: the owner's name, mobile phone number, the contents of messages sent to and from Mondae, photos texted to Mondae (such as receipts), the business records created through the service at the owner's request (customers' names and phone numbers, estimates, invoices, payments, and receipts), and the owner's Mondae subscription status and the last four digits of the card on file (the card itself stays with Stripe).
From visits to mondae.app: when a visit comes from an ad or a partner's link, we record the link's tags so we know where a signup came from. We do not record a visitor's IP address or browser details unless we are reporting signups to an ad platform, and this policy will say so before we do. Visit records are deleted after 90 days.
From the contact form on mondae.app: the name, email, phone number (if given), and message you send, a one-way fingerprint of your internet address (used only to stop more than five messages an hour from one place; the address itself is not kept), and the description your browser gives of itself. We keep these to answer you and delete them if you ask.
From a business's customers: the name and phone number the business gave us for a job, and what the customer does on the estimate and invoice pages Mondae hosts for that business (opening a page, accepting an estimate, paying). Mondae does not text a business's customers; the business sends every message from its own phone or email. We collect nothing else about customers and we do not look them up elsewhere.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer mobile phone numbers or messaging opt-in consent to any third party for marketing. Opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Information is used solely to provide the Mondae service: reading and responding to messages, preparing business documents and the messages a business sends its customers from its own phone, sending service-related notifications, recording payments and receipts, and producing summaries and reports for the business. Message contents, including every message a business sends Mondae, are read by a language-model provider on our behalf to understand requests and read receipt photos; that provider does not use Mondae's data to train its models. A record of each reading is kept with the message so we can check and improve how Mondae understood it.
We use service providers only as needed to operate the service: a messaging provider that delivers messages over iMessage, RCS, and SMS; a language-model provider that reads messages and receipt photos on our behalf and does not use Mondae's data to train its models; a database and file-storage provider; a hosting provider; and Stripe, which processes customer payments on the business's own Stripe account and the business's own Mondae subscription. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach Mondae.
We keep our own copy of messages and business records while a business uses the service, and delete it ourselves (deletion is not automatic) within thirty days after the business's account ends, or sooner if the business asks, except what tax or legal obligations require us to keep; our messaging provider retains message contents only briefly to deliver them. Links to a business's documents and reports stay valid while the account is open so the business and its bookkeeper can reach them; the business can ask us to revoke a link at any time. Access to data is restricted, data is encrypted at rest by our providers, and passwords and credentials are never stored in plain text.
A business can ask us to export or delete its data at any time. A customer of a business can ask us to delete the information we hold about them. The service is not intended for anyone under 18.
